Distance Education Library Resources

Welcome distance learners! This web site is a tool that will show you what library resources are available to assist you with distance learning and research.

As an EMU student, you have access to:

  • online databases
  • tutorials and guides
  • citations to articles in scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, and trade journals
  • borrowing privileges from the EMU library (materials can also be obtained from other libraries; we can mail materials to you)
  • borrowing privileges through MichiCard (we can provide your Michicard and sticker to present to participating libraries along with picture ID)
  • Judy Block's Distance Learning Newsletter - keeps you up-to-date on on library services
  • the EMU Distance Education Blog
  • and more....

Getting started - Set up an EMU e-mail account. You'll need this to gain access to database resources. Register for your account at the my.emich login page under "how do I get my user name and password". Need help? Call the Information Communication Technology (ICT) HelpDesk at (734) 487-2120 or visit the Halle Library.

Eastern Michigan University's Halle Library is committed to providing excellent service to all our students, regardless of where they take classes. If you have any suggestions on how we can better serve you, please let us know.
