When is the last day to register for a class?
You can register if the class is not full right up until the first day of
class by registering online using the my.emich registration system or by using
the Continuing Education Course Registration Form. You should not be
assessed a $50 late registration fee if you register before the class starts.
There are some courses that have online components and may prevent students
from registering up until the first day of class.
If you are unable to register because of a restriction, please contact our
office and we will do what we can to help.
How do I get an override if the class is full or there is a pre-requisite
or department permission?
You can e-mail the instructor for an override or contact the EMU-Traverse
City office 877.368.8289 and we will be able to tell you if the class is accepting
enrollments.
Does it cost more to take an EMU-Traverse City class?
The tuition and fees are the same as an on-campus class except an additional
$55 per class fee. This fee is generated because of Class Room
Rental, Media Service, and equipment at an office site campus. The cost
for housing, meals and transportation for your week in Traverse City are additional
costs and NOT included in the $55.

How do I drop a class?
EMU-Traverse City classes can be dropped up until the first day of class. If
the University's drop deadlines have passed you can still drop at a 100% minus
the Registration fee of $40 by faxing a letter with your Name, Date, Signature,
EID number, Course CRN number, Course prefix, of the class you would like to
drop to the Traverse City office. FAX: 231.995.1751
If you use the My.Emich system to drop your course, there is a possibility
you will NOT receive 100%. Please contact our office if you have questions.
If you drop all your classes for the semester there is a non-refundable $40
registration fee.
When will I receive a grade for the class?
The
grades for one-week classes are posted on the my.emich site and are NOT
mailed through the postal mail at the end of the regular spring or summer
semester. If the class takes place at the end of the semester, there may
not be time for the instructor to grade the materials and have a grade
posted immediately; in that case you would receive an "I" for
incomplete until the materials are turned in or graded. We suggest asking
the instructor when the grades will be posted before you leave class. Many
times the instructor will allow you to email them requesting your grade.
