Northwestern
Michigan College is launching its 31st season of "College for Kids" featuring
159 action-packed learning adventures designed for motivated students ages
4 to 17. One-week courses are held each week of summer beginning June 16.
The enrichment classes revolve around a wide range of interests including
art, music, dance, science, computers, foreign language, astronomy, aviation,
scuba diving, and much more.
Highlights for the opening two weeks (June 16 and June 23) provide a big entry
into summer fun. Pre-school and elementary-age children can create art and projects
around the topics of Pirate Adventures, Michigan, and Spanish Fiesta; explore
Archeology, Shark Week, and Science; and enjoy a week of Shelter Building. Students
entering grades 4 through 8 this fall are welcome to Make a Wizards Staff, and
join CSI for Kids, Mountain Biking, Archeology, and Perspective Drawing. Teens
can enjoy Hip Hop Dance, Pottery, Guitar, Scuba Diving, and more.
The rest of summer contains many more exciting options for kids. Limited financial
aid is available. See the entire summer schedule at www.nmc.edu/collegeforkids or
