The MS-CPD is a 2nd admissions program. You must be accepted
as an Eastern Michigan University Graduate student, complete
all the pre-requisites and/or deficiencies for the program
and then apply to the MS-CPD program. Being accepted as an
EMU student does not guarantee that you will be accepted
into the MS-CPD program. Click the link to the left labeled "Apply
to EMU".
Once accepted into the MS in Human Nutrition - Coordinated
Program in Dietetics (MS-CPD) program, you will begin the
professional phase of the program. This means you will take
all course work in a specific sequence and you will complete
supervised practice experiences concurrently with the lecture
courses.
As an online student you will be required to secure preceptors
in your geographical area that will coordinate all your supervised
practice experiences. You will work with the EMU Dietetics
and Human Nutrition Clinical Coordinator to make sure all
paperwork is properly in place BEFORE you begin your experiences.
Click the link to the left labeled preceptors for all the
information of how to secure preceptors.
Program of Study
The MS-CPD is a minimum of 40 credits, depending on pre-requisites/deficiencies

so that you meet all university requirements for graduation
and all pre-requisite courses before you begin the professional
phase of the program. All courses in the professional phase
of the program are completed in the scheduled sequence and
you must complete one before moving on to the next. The supervised
