This workshop uses a blend of didactic and experiential techniques to provide practitioners with strategies for understanding, assessing and intervening with emotional processes. Participants will integrate current research findings with strategies for intervention.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop an understanding of emotional processes.
  • Develop an understanding of emotional elements underlying difficult behaviors.
  • Develop an understanding of emotional pain dynamics and long-term impact.
  • Provide an assessment system for identifying emotional problems in clients.
  • Provide strategies and techniques for helping clients identify and resolve difficult emotions.
